Pastor Mike Collins

Mike grew up in a Christian home in Tucson, AZ and placed his faith in Jesus the summer before entering 7th grade. Mike’s desire to get involved in ministry led him to help 2 different church plants from the ground up before he had graduated Bible college in 2015. Because of this church planting background and desire, Mike and Shelby started serving at Fellowship Baptist Church in Liberal as church planting interns in 2016.

After several years of serving in the church, the Collins felt the Lord’s leading to start a church in Garden City, Kansas. But to their total surprise, God redirected their steps to help pastor Fellowship Baptist in Garden City. After many months of prayer and meetings, the church voted to call Mike Collins as the pastor of FBC in August of 2021. When Mike’s not in the office, he loves spending time as a volunteer in the community, drinking coffee, and spending time with his girls, Natalie (2017), Nora (2019), and Noelle (2022).
